1. Who we are

This website belongs to Chalet Stuhlfelden, rented out by Moshir and Ingeborg (the Daoud-Oskamp family). We are responsible for processing your personal data through this website.

2. What data we process and why

• Contact form and email. Your name, email address and what you enter (preferred period, number of guests, message). We use this to answer your question and prepare a booking. Legal basis: your request and steps prior to a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). The form is sent by email to our Gmail account; the website itself does not store submissions.
• Spam protection (Google reCAPTCHA). On the contact page, Google reCAPTCHA checks whether the form is filled in by a human. Google processes, among other things, your IP address and browser data. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in preventing spam (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Bookings. For the rental agreement and payment: name, address, contact details, number of guests, period and payment details. Legal basis: the contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) and legal obligations such as accounting and tourist tax (Art. 6(1)(c)).
• Website statistics (Google Analytics 4) – only with your consent. Usage data such as pages visited, device, browser and approximate location. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw your consent at any time via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
• Map (Google Maps). On the contact page a Google map shows where the chalet is. When it loads, Google receives your IP address and browser data. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in showing the location.
• Availability calendar. On the rates page we load the calendar of ferienhausmiete.de (also known as vakantiehuisnu.nl and tourist-paradise.com). That service receives your IP address.
• Hosting and server logs. The website is hosted by Namecheap (EasyWP). The server records technical data such as IP address, time and requested page, for security and maintenance. Legal basis: legitimate interest.

4. Sharing with third parties and transfers outside the EU

We do not sell your data. We use Google (Analytics, reCAPTCHA, Maps and Gmail) and Namecheap (hosting). Data may be transferred to the United States; Google participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for this. If you book via a platform such as Airbnb, Booking.com or VRBO, that platform’s privacy policy applies.

5. How long we keep data

• Email and contact requests: as long as needed for your question or booking.
• Rental agreement and payment data: 7 years, as required by law.
• Google Analytics: at most 14 months.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase and restrict your data, to object, to data portability and to withdraw your consent. Email us at chaletstuhlfelden@gmail.com. You can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, for example the Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens or the Austrian Datenschutzbehörde.

7. Security and changes

The website uses a secure connection (https). We may update this statement; the date at the top shows the latest change.
